Please follow the steps below to format the built-in flash memory of the player.

1. Press and hold the /MENU button in stop mode until the following screen appears.
   
   
   
2. Press the   button of the 5 direction JOG to select Advanced Menu> and press > (VOL) to confirm.
3. Press the   button of the 5 direction JOG to select  Format and press the > (VOL) to confirm.
   
   
   
4. Press the   button of the 5 direction JOG to select  OK and press the > (VOL) to confirm. "Formatting" message appears and formatting starts. When formatting is complete, COMPLETE message appears.

To return to the previous menu. Press and hold the  /MENU button until the display changes.

To cancel formatting. Select Cancel in step 4.

Note:

• Do not format the built-in flash memory of the player on the computer.
• All data stored in the built-in flash memory will be erased when formatted.
